Windy Creek (0)
Here are some photos of our visit to the Great Northwest and the camping we did along Windy Creek in Washington. Yes, it is primarily a picture-fest (Sorry, I just haven't had loads of time.) There is a link at the bottom of the entry that will allow you to see all of the entry (the extended part) and there are the "pretty" pictures I took on FLICKR.

Jeremy and I had a dilemma: How to slow cook ribs and smoke them over a campfire. We quickly devised the contraption. There were those who doubted and mocked us. There were those who laughed in our faces, but we bravely moved forward. Made from a cooking grate, 3 aluminum pans, and loads of aluminum foil, the contraption was held together by sheer willpower. By positioning a few coals along the edges, we were able to capture heat and smoke inside and cook the ribs to perfection over the course of four hours. Take that, doubters!
