The Perfect Sunday Evening Meal (4)
I've got a few entries I've been meaning to post, but I've been busy, busy, busy. SO how about some more food???
Sunday I put together a perfect little meal. I started with some delicous and creamy shrimp bisque from Tyler Florences's new book.

The recipe was straight forward and took only an hour to make.

The main course was a thick-cut, grilled lamb chop marinated in garlic and thyme served with a mixed bean salad served with a creamy citrus dressing.
For Katie - Here is the recipe for Easter Pie from The Silver Spoon cookbook:
EASTER PIE - TORTA PASQUALINAServes 12
butter, for greasing
1 pound 5 ounces Swiss chard
10 eggs
1 1/3 cups ricotta cheese
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
scant 1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon chopped fresh marjoram
14 ounces puff pastry dough, thawed if frozen
all-purpose flour, for dusting
olive oil, for brushing
salt and pepperPreheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a large pie dish with butter. Cook the chard in salted, boiling water for 10 minutes until tender, then drain and chop. Beat together four of the eggs. Push the ricotta through a strainer into a bowl. Add the beaten eggs, Parmesan, bread crumbs and cream and season. Stir in the chard and marjoram. Roll out half the dough on a lightly floured surface into two thin sheets. Line the prepared dish with a sheet of dough, letting the edges overhang, and brush with oil. Place the second sheet on top and pour in half the chard mixture. Make six small hollows in the chard mixture and break an egg into each. Season, cover with the remaining chard mixture and smooth the surface with a damp knife. Roll out the remaining dough into two thin sheets. Place one on the filling and brush with oil, then top with the second and crimp carefully around the sides to seal. Prick the surface with a fork. Bake for about 1 hour. Easter pie may be served hot or cold.

this site has nothing to do with the magic bullet or magic bullet theory, you should be punished for making this mock site.

You are right about one thing: This site has almost nothing to do with the magic bullet theory, but most JFK conspiracy theorists out there recognize that in a hurry and move on.
However, this is not a "mock" site. It isn't pretending to be something it is not. I may be using a domain I had lying around for an alternate purpose (a personal weblog vs. a multimedia website), but it doesn't usually mock anything but me.

Ha! I'm surprised I haven't gotten a 'this site has nothing to do with the Beverly Hillbillies!' comment yet... :-)
I think MBT is a great title for a blog, even if it has nothing to do with the JFK MBT (other than location).
BTW, the grub looks delicious.
