Random March Entry (2)
This has been a strange week. It started eith me getting trapped in an elevator for 10 minutes. I will only say that I don't enjoy being trapped in a box suspended in the air and occasionally moving slightly up or slightly down.
It was spring break, which was fortunate, because the early spring forward threw everyone's schedule completely off. There would be no way to get those sluggish children to school on time.
Karen took Sophia to see Body Worlds. Sophia's current facination with how bodies work made this a real treat for her. I was concerned that she might get a little freaked out, but that was me projecting my own feelings on a nearly blank slate.
Barrett and Sophia built a bird house along with a swimming pool.
I mean, you have to have a pool with your bird house!
The weekend was spent with Grammy and Papa. The girls had a great time (just like a few weeks ago with Grandma and Grandpa). On sunday, we were walking along the street after lunch and Francesca turned and walked right into a metal light post. I have never seen black bump that big develop so fast on anyone's head. After a towel wrapped in ice and a call to the nurse line, we made our way home. I won't mortify anyone with a picture, but it was brutal.

Emma had a bump like that after walking right into the brick wall in our living room. It was a huge bump, almost like in the cartoons. I was freaked out, but ice and time did the trick. We miss you guys. Emma has been asking after her Texas cousins.
