Work Bench (2)

I bought the plans and the video tape a couple of years ago. I bought all of the hardware needed last year. A few weeks ago I bought the lumber and now I am finally building a workbench for the shed.

This is no ordinary bench. It is designed by Norm Abrams from The New Yankee Workshop and is by far the most complicated thing I have ever built. Here are the beginnings. I am getting close to completing the damn thing (after lots of hard work). Once I am finished and have the shed organized, I'll post the final pictures.

First you have to cut up the wood...

Lots of wood!

Norm has you start with the 2 wall cabinets...a good place to screw up before starting the tough parts!

with full extension drawers.

Nice. I need to get out in my workshop and do some stuff. Unfortunately, this damn computer has become my workshop. :)
