Wet and Soon to be Icy (0)
Today is wet and dreary, but soon it will be ice and freezing rain falling from the sky for the next two days. This bout of inclement weather has cancelled all of our plans and left us with nothing that we have to do. I don't remember the last weekend when we had nothing going on.
This fat bird is waiting for the rain to stop...good luck pal!
It has allowed me to clean out the desk upstairs, clean out junk drawers in the kitchen, and write my first blog entry of 2007. The weekend would be nearly perfect, were it not for the stomach bug.
Francesca woke up at 4:00am vomiting and like old faithful has gone off about once an hour. The last time we washed this many sheets and blankets, Francesca's head was covered in lice.
Lice are terrible vermin that took us almost 3 weeks to eradicate from our home. Countless hours were spent combing through hair and pulling out nits. Thankfully Karen and I were spared.
My hope for the rest of the weekend and busy week ahead-- no one else gets sick. Better yet, at least not all of us get sick.
