More Dalhart Fun! (0)

Sophia has been interested in drawing and painting for quite a while now. She has a great sense of color and isn’t afraid to put her own spin on an object or person.

My mom has been drawing and painting since I was a wee lad. She has a little studio behind her house. She invited Sophia to spend some time with her to draw.

Sophia and Nana drew bees and cups and other objects and creatures one afternoon.

Don't Think About It!

Saturday was the world’s largest free bar-b-que. This year the feast was one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat tasted fantastic. We also got a table in dairy-related tent. Huge slices of cheese from the company who is building a cheese factory were handed out. There were also free ice cream bars.

The girls got a couple of visors from one of the tent sponsors. They continued to wear them the rest of the week.

I ended up with a dog bite. My sister’s dog (who is very protective of his master) bit my leg and broke the skin. I jumped behind Leslie as she was taking a picture of the girls, to get their attention, when Jake sprang to action.

Looked Worse on Day 1

It has been since I was 5 years old since my last dog bite. It hurts.

Jake

My dog Misty bit me in the face. After the second bite to the face, my parents realized that it was time for Misty to go. Sadly, Jake may be going to. He’s a good and loyal dog. I feel terrible that I am indirectly the cause of his demise. Sorry, Les!
