You'll notice that there is a big red "x" through the Superman Returns poster. It is a truly awful film. I'll admit that I have always disliked Superman as a hero (I'm more of a Batman/Green Lantern guy), but I went into this movie excited. It had gotten good reviews and at the helm was Bryan Singer.
Superwaste of My Time!
Don't go see this movie! The story is unbearably stupid time after time. All of the times you'll think, "It can't get worse" it will.
I'm not one to be rude in the theater. I'm quiet and courteous. Near the end, I could barely stifle my inappropriate laughter. The portly fanatic to my right gave me evil looks as I put my hand to my mouth to keep it in.
I recently picked up Personal File. It is a collection of Johnny Cash songs. He recorded them in the early 80's-- just him and his guitar. If you like any of his American Recordings, you’ll enjoy this 2 album set as well. Unlike the American albums, his voice is strong and vibrant. There is also a running commentary about many of the songs and why he chose to play them.
