Making Beer (2)

And burns the hair off of his hand...<br />
Dan Gets things lit up

I went over to Jimbo’s house to watch he, his brother, and a colleague from work brew some beer. I went ahead of Karen and Francesca. When Sophia and I arrived I was introduced to some friends of Jim’s from his office. Sophia asked if she could get into the swimming pool. I told her, “You’ll need to wait until Mommy gets here.”

Hops in a bag.

The beer making began (along with some beer drinking). The home brew process generally produces interesting beer to drink. Watching the ingredients get thrown in and stirred about is a treat.

Hops!
Lots of Hops for a Strong Belgian Ale

After Karen arrived one of Jim’s friends came up to me and we had the following conversation:

FRIEND: I have a problem that you might help me solve.

RICH: Okay.

FRIEND: When you and your daughter arrived you told her she would have to wait until Monica arrived. When I went to introduce myself to the woman that arrived with your other daughter I said, “So you must be Monica.” And she replied, “No, I’m Karen”
(beat)
So who’s Monica?

RICH: (Groan) No, I said when “MOMMY” arrives!

Malty Syrup!

Fortunately, Karen didn’t wonder who “Monica” was!
