Code Red Caper 2005 (5)
For the 3rd year in a row, we participated in the Code Red Caper, benefiting Bryan’s House (a Dallas organization that helps children affected by HIV and AIDS). This is the most fun you can have while raising money for a worthy cause. In our third year, our team won first place in our division!! WHOO HOO!
Here’s the way it works: You get a team of 8 people together. Dress up. Get in a limousine filled with booze and food. Race around town tracking down clues, solving puzzles, and completing various tasks. After the competition is over, eat dinner and participate in an auction. Enjoy the award ceremony where the answers to all the puzzles are revealed.
Last year our team won Best Costume:

The Bryan’s House Capers

Iron Chefs for Bryan’s House

The Expedition Limo

Solving a Puzzle

Clowning Around

Looks like tons of fun. The limo, however, is an Excursion. Useless knowledge from a Ford guy. : )

How could I miss that, when I own an Expedition???
Thanks Ford Guy! :)

"The Heart of Christianity" must be a rough book. It's been on Karen's bedside for a long time! We're catching up to you on Farscape. We just finished 2.2 last night. The last couple have been pretty good. Hope you guys had a good time with Bruce and Janet.

Karen doesn't read that much anymoore. She gets too tired at night.
I think that the new Harry Potter might help her break the slump!

Yeah, I've got the new Harry Potter on order! I can't wait. I can relate. I have a really hard time reading as much. Too many house projects, managing time with kids, keeping the wife happy, going to work, etc...
By the way, if you have never read any Wendle Berry, I suggest "Jayber Crow," one of his novels. Excellent story with some thought provoking subjects. Give it a read.
